Went to an late lunch/early dinner with one of my besties today! We went to Beachhouse and I got chicken tropicale, which was just grilled chicken marinated in fruit juices with a fruit salsa and yellow rice and green beans (I didn’t eat the green beans). The waitress filled my cup with ice and no water so some overflowed and started melting and looked really pretty to me. Afterwards we visited our friends’ parents’ ice cream parlor and I got some of my favorite birthday cake ice cream by Big Olaf. I forced Miranda to go on the beach with me, and dipping my toes in the water after the long week in NYC was amazing. Back to school tomorrow, but not until around third period because I have an eye appointment. Bye (:

Just wanted to make a quick post about my recent trip to NYC!
My school has a program where every other year they host trips and work shops and as a junior I was able to go to NYC for five days with a bunch of other juniors and seniors (gag). But the trip was actually pretty awesome.
It was super cold, but I loved it. It really made me realize how much I want to live in a city when I’m older.
We saw Newsies and Wicked on Broadway, which were both absolutely wonderful. Newsies is now my favorite musical, seconded by Wicked. Les Mis is third, and those are the only ones I have actually seen. But the dancing for Newsies was on point and the music is so amazing!
We had a ton of fantastic food which I took hundreds of pictures of because I’m that annoying girl that posts her lunch on Instagram. I’m also one of the only people at my school that prefers Dunkin Donuts over Starbucks and that vanilla chai with brown sugar cinnamon was heaven on a chilly day in Chinatown.
On our last full day, we visited Central Park and went ice skating. It was so scary but so fun. I hadn’t been since I was around seven or eight, so I retaught myself and didn’t fall once! (:
The crazy Columbian man is my Spanish teacher and one of our sponsors for the trip. I love him to death, he is seriously so awesome. The gorgeous dirty blonde girl is one of my best friends and we put on our “We’re so excited for Wicked” Insta-worthy faces on and our “We’re so excited for Wicked WE LITERALLY CANNOT EVEN TAKE IT WHO CARES” faces.
The day we left for home it snowed for a little bit in the morning. It was beautiful, but I was too lazy to go outside and take a better picture. Overall a great trip and I can’t wait to go back! (:
*First photo is not mine, I got it from Google. I think it came from the Wikipedia page of NYC.
